CHINA'S EVERGREEN BROAD-LEAVED FORESTS

C-EBF-Trait

Plant functional traits of China’s evergreen broad-leaved forests.

C-EBF-Trait is a systematically integrated plant functional trait database specifically designed for evergreen broad-leaved forests in China. By harmonizing multi-source observations, the project supports the study of plant trait variability and ecosystem model parameterization.

The database brings together individual growth rates, leaf morphological traits, root architecture and stem hydraulic structures. These complementary indicators help researchers explore plant life-history strategies and resource use across environmental gradients.

Beyond trait characterization, C-EBF-Trait supports research on terrestrial carbon cycling, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem functions under global change.
